The late Madam Ramiza Gulam Dastagir concocted Ramiza’s Bryani and recipe in 1960. Born in India in 1928 to a well-to-do family, she came to Singapore at the age of 5. Being well off, she did not have the opportunity to be at the kitchen to learn to cook.
Marriage in 1960 changed everything. Having a husband who loves and craves for good food, she realized that she had to learn to cook well to have a happy family.
With the help of a Gujerati friend, she managed to come up with the recipe that is the hallmark of Ramiza’s Bryani today.
Ramiza’s Bryani has entertained and delighted the taste buds of thousands of people and bryani lovers through the years. It is still the same recipe and taste today as it was in 1960.
In April 2002, Ramiza’s Dum Bryani was established commercially to cater to the growing demands of friends, relatives, associates, well-wishers and those who have tasted our Bryani.
At Ramiza’s Dum Bryani , we religiously believed that there is no compromise for quality, no matter how big or small the serving is.
